YouTube Report - May 2023

Here's my YouTube report for May πŸ“†

While this wasn't a significant month in terms of content growth, the most notable achievement was the monetization of my main channel last month! πŸš€ After going back and forth with Google support, they finally fixed the issue with my AdSense account and I was able to link the correct one. It took me 40 days of everyday support conversations via email and Twitter, but it’s finally done!

I'm thrilled to be able to focus more on the channel now. Unfortunately, I was feeling a bit down because of monetisation issues this month and didn’t publish as much as I would have liked, which hurt the growth of course. I only published two videos in May.

πŸ”¬ Let’s get into the numbers:

πŸ“Ί Main channel:

πŸŽ₯ Published just one video in May and it tanked the stats.

Growth:

❌ 6,800 views (-70%)

❌ 485 hours watch time (-73%)

❌ 63 new subscribers (-56%)

πŸ’° €2.34 revenue (only a few days)

Engagement:

❌ 22 comments + 37 shares (vs 70 comments + 39 shares).

πŸ“Ί Second channel (different language):

πŸŽ₯ Published only one video.

Growth:

πŸ”΅ 4100 views (Same)

βœ… 316 watch hours (+9%)

βœ… 33 new subscribers (+14%)

πŸ’° €2.45 revenue (this channel is in a non-monetizable market).

Engagement:

βœ… 17 comments + 50 shares (vs to 8 + 60 in April).

This was the final month for my channel in Russian. I will be fully concentrating on my main one. I am going to record a video informing subscribers that I am putting that channel on hold.

If they want watching my content, it will be available in English on the main channel so maybe I gain a few subscribers this way. But, I don’t expect much. Russian audience rarely transforms this way.
